I used to MD lot. Depending on the areas that you have to look, you can find very interesting things. I always like to find silver coins because when you shake the dirt off they are as good as when they went into the ground. I have a nice new DFX that I'm waiting for cooler weather to try out. Just like anyting else, you must research and practice practice. I have couple coffee cans full of coins and interesting metal items like watch parts, knives, and broken peices of ??? Mostly you'll find bottle caps and snap caps though.

 

I have not found a coin MD'ing that would go in my album collection.
