Then how could they claim to the IRS that they sold it for $500 if the receipt shows $1500?

Hey gmarguli, I don't know who you deal with, but I always get receipts for my purchases, even at shows. Now that doesn't mean the dealers won't "loose" those receipts, but I always have mine!!

Geez,I'm lucky if I even get a packing slip or invoice when I buy a coin through the mail,receipts are non-existent at shows
