Observation regarding 2004 Lincoln Cents

Is it just me or have others noticed an inordinate amount of extremely toned 2004 cents in circulation? I could through several boxes of pennies every month and I swear that there is something up with the 2004 Philly cents. I see more dark toned, reds, purples, rainbow, etc in that year than all others combined. Some really radical tones. I was assuming either some variation of the metal occurred, or a pipe burst and several bins of coins got soaked in some kind of liquid. I cant imagine its AT as I have noticed this only on 2004 cents and have picked up on this over a period of about a year...and tens of thousands of pennies!

 

Is it just me or has somebody else noticed as well?

I wouldn't know... don't have bulk 2004 cents. Got pics?

 

No pics this time...i will try to save the next few I come across and see if i can get a decent pic of it. Its as though the alloy from that batch was highly reactive to something.
