Bust Half Dollars

I have a few Bust Half Dollars that have been returned by NGC ungraded. They are either scratched, or have been cleaned. Is it best to encapsulate them or leave them alone?

Although the decision to encapsulate your coins is ultimately yours, I can give you a few thoughts as to why encapsulation may be a good idea. Your coins will be authenticated as part of the NCS encapsulation process. This is a particularly good idea for coins that are known to exist altered or outright counterfeit. Your coins will be hermetically sealed in an inert holder which is the best for long-term storage. Coins with many popularly collected varieties can have the additional service of being attributed according to the popular catalog of that particular series. Since NCS holders are the same dimensions as NGC coins, your collection will appear more consistent when displayed along with NGC certified coins.
