Its the J1763. My fellow collector-friend, DrPete,

imaged the coin when he had a private session

with the head curator of the Smithsonian.

DrPete spent quite a few hours alone examining

and imaging the US Collection of Barber Halves.

After examining the collection, he noticed the

Barber Half Collection was incomplete. I believe

it was missing the 1907-O.

In gratitude for the privilege of examining the National

Collection, he donated a high grade example of the

missing date.

BTW, DrPete's collection is far superior to the National

Collection, it just doesn't contain the unique pattern.

Speaking of which, Barber Halves is on the docket now;

here's my most recent addition to my primary Half Dollar set:

1892-O Micro O

This is the coin that started this thread about three years back and it has a really special meaning to me.

Jeremy (airplanenut) took the image as part of his yearly cancer auction. About that time cancer came to my family so I started this thread and helped to keep it going as a way to get away from it all. It helped me get past some tough times.

The great folks here helped even more and having the thread stuck at the top was just so cool, I just don't have the words to say thank you to everyone.

A special thanks to Jeremy for all he has done for others over the years.

Please jump in and help with this years auction. Jeremy's auction
