Conservation of a Misattributed Variety

I have a Shield 5c in that is a candidate for conservation. The coin is in an NGC holder with a tag that misattributes the variety. If the coin is accepted for conservation, I would like it regraded by NGC and the misattribution corrected. If the coin is not accepted for conservation, I would still like to have the variety properly attributed on the tag.

 

So . . . is it possible to accomplish all this without first sending the coin to NGC to correct its attribution error?

If you send this coin to NCS for conservation, please indicate the error in attribution in the notes section of the NCS form. We will have the attribution verified if your coin is conserved or not.
