19th century Cameo silver proofs

I was just wondering the experience NCS has had with U.S. mid-19th century silver cameo proof conservation. Specifically, has it been your experience that the conservation techniques have the potential to remove the cameo appearance of a coin of this era?

Conservation will only enhance the cameo of a proof coin. Many times residues will obscure the cameo contrast on a proof coin. This is true of 19th century, 20th century issues as well as world coins. A coin may have a cameo contrast hiding under residues but never would a coin that currently has a cameo contrast not have this feature after conservation.
