Elbesaar
I think the graders were plain lazy when they graded that Proof 1962 Franklin. Looks tons nicer than a generic PF 65 CAM !!! I'd cross it !

brg5658
OK, here is my other experiment in imaging toned coins. I had my camera set up for some axial lighting shots, so that's what this one is. The colors are much more delicate on the coin surface, but they come screaming through with this method. Because of the ambiguity in the meaning of the "star", I'm not sure if it's for cameo surfaces on one side (which the obverse exhibits) or if it's for the blush of color on both sides. (thumbs u From Dave W. at CRO: Dave's description: Flashy, white and fresh from a collection formed nearly 30 years ago. As a neat association piece, it comes with an old ANACS photo certificate from the early 1980’s.
Elbesaar
Its amazing that the 1913 Dime has kept its flash after all these years. Obviously, you live in a dry climate. Elbesaar
Thanks, Lee. Its a great coin and something I have wanted for years but never found what I wanted - a solid coin - with as much detail as possible - that I didn't have to remortgage the house for. I purchased this from a collector who was interested in Barber Halves in Baltimore last November. Assisting Glenn had its perks ! Glenn passed on the coin as it was too much money to tie up without having a ready buyer for it. I get to enjoy it for awhile before I sell it, which I hope isn't for a long time ! Here's another newp recently imaged:
