Coindude
Bobby, I hope I'm wrong for your sake, but I've seen a good many proof sets in the OGP, and that just looks like haze on the half, quarter and dime. Let me know how it turns out.

acan451
Hi Everyone I Won all these for under $12.00, Now I don't know allot about this kind of mint set. I am hoping I did well though. each set with a A "S"penny & nickel 1968,1969,1970 and 1971. Alan Edited May 29, 2011 by acan451
bsshog40
I may be wrong here Alan, but I think all the sets you bought were actually minted at the San Fransisco Mint. The mintmark wasn't put on them due to earlier coin hoarding in which people were collecting coins by mintmark for complete sets. To help get the coins back into circulation, the mintmark was not added so there would be no certain demand for any of the coins, but one I guess. To hep the population of the Lincoln cent better, two were put into the set and I guess one needed to have a mintmark to be able to include two coins of the same denomination in the same set. I can't say I'm completely right, but I think some of it is.

bsshog40
Thanks Bobby Alan Btw Alan, the full sets for these run about $8 each, that's with the Denver half. So 3 sets for $12 is $4 ea. I'd say you paid the going rate my friend.

physics-fan3.14
im pretty mad i didnt get this coin.. 1955 Franklin along with a bunch of others that dude was sellin at the time. missed a lot of top shelf stuff im thinking to myself right now. The coin is almost certainly not FBL, and it isn't that attractive. The buyer paid a fair price, but you didn't miss anything.

BKW
Just picked this up today for a new set. Just haven't decided yet if it's going to be a CWT set or a set relating to / honoring my home state of NJ. Either way it fits in

Elbesaar
Proof IHC's are beautiful - and that 1873 is no exception. Thanks for sharing, Dean. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Something new - and I have nothing like this in my collection. A little background on the date, a friend recently had this date certified at Sacramento - although it was a VF 35 - it was a very rare die variety - the Curly Base 2. I was very attracted to the series - and although I am not a variety collector - I can easily see why some are. Needless to say - here's my newp: Obviously, the holder has the lines - not the coin.
