I normally don't buy non Barber coins - but - last month, I picked this

coin up at a local Fort Myers, Florida coin show.

Its my Dad's birth year - and I just couldn't pass it up...

Last year I sold off this coin - which had been in my raw book for

over a dozen years - and it was deemed to be cleaned - or some such

term - Altered Surfaces - what ever - I bought it raw as an AU 58

and it had a great strike - but I wanted a Graded Coin for my Mom's

Birthyear set...

Here's the replacement - PCGS 63 - from today's Stack's sale...

I also won a nice Barber Quarter - but posted it on the Barber Thread.

Thanks, Dean. It should look great with the other 1921's in that date set.

I was able to win three of the five lots I bid on at tonight's Bowers

and Merena auction.

One is a Barber dime [ no surprise there, huh ? ] - a really nice 1898-O

in a PCGS 64 holder...I'll be posting that coin on the Barber Thread.

I also won a beautiful 1891 Indian Head Cent for my Proof Set...

PCGS PR 65 RB...

Also won this great toned 1889 Dime for my Grandfather's Birthyear MS set:

PCGS MS 65:

This is an upgrade for my MS 64 - which is a nice coin - just too white.

Picked this up at the local coin show this weekend. As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to have it.

Dkillett2 - That's a really nice DMPL Carson City Morgan !!!

...and ... welcome to the NGC Boards !!

Really nice doesn't seem good enough - and although I don't

collect DMPL Morgans, a good friend's brother does and he'll

be green with envy when he sees that one !!
