The auction closed and I won this just about an hour ago. It's going to my step-father for the 1932 mint set he's trying to build in honor of his mother.

edited to add pics.

THIS one is for me. I just won it off Telecoin for about the cost of certification. .... I just realized that the description said "D" and the pic is a "P." mess... now I have to go ask questions again.... :(

Edited to add: It's a "D," the picture is actually wrong. :( I'll post a picture of the coin he sends.

Very nice additions there Rev, Elbasaar, & Lee!

Thanks, Bobby. I'm trying to build up my certified cents set some to make it a little more impressive and take advantage of the summer slow season before the cents (possibly) go nuts in 2009.

Nice additions there Harv and Steve.

I hear ya Rev! I have a feeling that the lincoln prices may change with the new designs next year also.

I can hardly believe it. After months of hunting, opportunities coming up when I wasn't in a position to buy and losses at the last minute I finally just won auctions for not 1 but BOTH of these steelies. This will bring to a close my current push for lincolns. I have obtained a 1939-S MS66RD, 1957-P MS66RD, 1943-P MS67, 1943-D MS67, and a 1987-D MS67RD. The seller of the 1943-P offered lots of good detail images but I think these "slab shots" get the point across.

I just picked up this coin from a US Coin Forum Member here at NGC

and it'll be a perfect fit for the old Whitman Bookshelf album:

[ Thanks again, TomB ]
