Sorry to disappoint but it's not another BTW. lol

It is my first example of an Oregon and being a Northwesterner I should've had this one a long time ago. Completing the set of Oregons is not a big priority at this time as I'm still working the BTW set.

Here's the 1926 I just got. Sorry the lighting looks off a bit. I'm not sure why it changed all of the sudden but I'll have to investigate.

hm

Talk about your muscular cattle!

For the price I paid it would not suprise me that it's been cleaned and/or tampered with and that's ok as I think it looks good in hand.

Since you all recognized the dip right away I wanted your opinion on this Deleware. To me it looks remarkably clean. Any opinions anyone?

The Delaware has been dipped, but the Oregon looks polished. There is a big difference between the two if this is the case since the hobby-industry accepts dipped MS silver while it rejects polished coins.

Polished is rejected because you're losing actual material? (original material) Sounds logical to me. I've also decided to spend the extra money and step up the Oregon to MS65 after I return this one. I decided I can squeeze a little more money out of the old coffee can.

Thanks Tom!

That pretty much sums up the idea of polishing; it moves metal and also creates an odd surface. You have made a good choice, in my opinion, if you return a coin such as this since it will always be tough to move.

Having sold off my second tier collection of

Barber halves to pay for the last coin I needed

for the Barber quarter collection, I ended up with

a little cash left over for my raw Barber half dollar

Whitman Bookshelf album.

These coins are a bit on the lower end of the scale

but they look original. I grade them - by their images:

VG/F.

nice from the images...plus, I've bought from this

dealer before in person...I just never knew his

eBay name. Small world.

Thx again for the kind words ...

From Stack's Minot Sale:

1921 Missouri. MS-64 (RAW) - A completely original coin in every respect. There is a very well balanced blend of russet, gold, and subtle green toning over rich satin-velvet mint lustre. Scarce in any grade, and particularly difficult to acquire at the condition level offered here.
