Improperly cleaned bust half dollars

5 posts in this topic

Hi to all,

The last time I asked a question about an improperly cleaned coin I was thinking of sending it into NCS, but the consensus of the board members was " Once a cleaned coin, always a cleaned coin." So now that I have received several back in a BODY BAG, should I hold on to them, or is there still merrit in sending them to NCS for authentication and encapsulation? I look forward to your responses.

do not waste your money leave them raw and put them in an album and let them tone up a little and after a few short years look at them again and if you want to sell them sell them raw you will have better luck

How badly cleaned? Given a proper storage environment, they will tone back naturally and then be easily certified.

Got any images?

More importantly, are they for SALE?
