TPG's consistency in grading coins doesn't matter.........

4 posts in this topic

.............until the value of the coin becomes substantial! Do you agree or disagree that there is a possible connection for the consistent grading of coins. In other words, do you think the TPG rush coins of little value through the grading process at a much faster pace than those coins that have substantial value? I think they would.....why waste alot of time on a $10 coin? Whereas they would take 5 minutes on a coin worth $1000 or $10,000.

Makes alot of sense to me!

I think they should be consistent no matter what the value of the coins. I would pay the same amount of money for both coins, so I would want them treated the same.

I think he has a valid point, some of the coins I send in may even tee off the graders, Oh no not another 1885 Morgan ms63, and he paid what to get this graded!! If only I could grade up a 1893-s Morgan in this grade HA Ya I bet it makes a lot of difference in the rarity and the value of a particular coin, THEY are guarantee ing it!!
