Reversing Coins Front 2 Back

2 posts in this topic

I have dozens of NGC Graded State Quarters. Most have the State side to the front with ole George facing the back. But I have a couple of State Quarter error coins in particular that that were recently slabbed that have George facing front. First off, what is NGC's policy on which side should be obverse facing on the State Quarter series. To get a quarter turned, is this a reslab ? Can these be sent @ the same time as any grading order (on another sheet). Thanks

State Quarters are encapsulated state side up, which is the preference of most people. However if it is an error coin which shows on the other side we will encapsulate them in the other way to feature the error. Also a submitter can request which side they wish their coins to be submitted. If you are sending coins back to be turned around, it will be a re-holder charge and it must go on a separate invoice from any other submission, but multiple submissions can be sent in the same package.
