New Silver Proofs

2 posts in this topic

Does NCS have a treatment to prevent or person_having_a_hard_time_understanding_my_point corrosion spots triggered by a small piece of contaminant on new silver proofs such as the American Eagle or silver commemoratives? If so, how does one indicate a request for such treatment on a submission form? How highly is it recommended?

Thanks!

We can sometimes help small spots on modern U.S. mint products. There are times, however, when those spots are in the planchet and can not be removed safely.

You would need NCS submission forms to submit your coins to NCS. Mark the box for conservation and indicate how you would like to have the coins returned to you. When listing the individual coins, there is a line to add any notes you wish about the coin. Use this space to indicate any spots you see and would like to have addressed with professional conservation.
