How many 1922 plain cents (Die Pair 2) are estimated to exist?

Any ideas? They're considerably scarcer than an SVDB, but probably more plentiful than a 1955 DDO.

There were 7,160,000 cents minted in 1922. There were 484,000 SVDB cents minted. If it's rarer than the SVDB and more common than the 1955 DDO, then I would estimate 200,000 - 300,000 were minted. But, that's just a guess.

Sorry, I've looked through several of my books and can't see anywhere/anyone that has/will put a number on them (not even a ballpark guess). 893frustrated.gif

I might suggest giving ANA a call and see if they know, or if your willing, pay for them to do some investigating to get you a "firm" number.

Again, sorry for not being able to supply an answer.

I would almost bet that it is nowhere near the quantity of 55/55's.
