A. G. Heaton - Some Help Please

3 posts in this topic

I am working on an article on Wikipedia about A.G.Heaton, who is the author of the famous treatise on mintmarks, which started the whole craze. I first tripled the size of the mintmark article, which led to a natural curiosity about Heaton. Anyways, I saw somewhere that the June 2002 "The Numismatist" had an article about him, in the "Names in Numismatists" column. If anyone keeps back copies of this magazine, could you either scan the article and email it to me, or copy it and send it snail mail? Any help would be appreciated. And head over to Wikipedia if you ever get the chance, all the knowledge you have is greatly appreciated!

Does no one know anything about this guy? Past president of the ANA, frequent contributor to The Numismatist, revolutionized numismatics. And an artist, with a painting hanging in the Senate. But I need more info for a good article.
