Feds going after Ebay scammers

7 posts in this topic

criminals are gravitating to one of the Internet's most profitable businesses: eBay
It's about time someone woke up to this. EBay should have/could have been on top of this a long time ago. Now the Feds have to step in.

prosecute cases that resulted in 57 criminal and civil law enforcement actions.

if the feds really wanted to make a difference, they would add a few zeroes behind that 57.

Just the tip of the iceberg on this scam (online auctions).

Hope they don't look into the "truth in advertising" aspect while they are at it.

Oh, I forgot, you just need to put in the words.......I know nothing about (insert item) that I'm selling....Item is as is.......and a thesaurus to describe the once in a life time deal.

Besides, I'm I the only one that notices that 80-90% of the "auction" items now have minimum bids? It's like going onto Wal*Mart and starting an auction on something already priced.
