Cross over with Pedigree

2 posts in this topic

I have an 1873 CC Seated Half that was graded by ANACs. It has a "Berlinghof" pedigree. Would I be able to get it crossed over and still maintain the pedigree? I think it could be over graded and I'd rather it be slabbed by NGC anyway.

Usually it depends on whether the pedigree has some hobby-wide recognition. I don't recognize this name as being that of an important collection, so I must assume it was a vanity pedigree done at the request of the submitter. If you were the submitter of the coin to ANACS and wanted to maintain this pedigree as something meaningful to you, NGC would include it on the label.
