How many styles of NGC slabs are there?

17 posts in this topic

Attached are 3 different NGC slabs. (I don't know how yet to get them into the text)

Can anyone give me any ballpark guesses as to when they were graded by the type?

I am guessing that the one on the right is the most recent foreheadslap.gifforeheadslap.gifforeheadslap.gif

I don't know about you all but I like that first gen. holder. That black is rather cool looking. 893scratchchin-thumb.gif

Thank you much

I had no idea !!

I guess I never really paid any attention to this ??

I can only imagine how the grading "changed" during each time period !

(so I WON'T ask !) grin.gifgrin.gif

A thread from across the street. This guy wrote the book.

It's worth a look.

someone needs to read other's replies first poke2.gif

I did read it.

Thought a second reference would be helpful.

Cammy is a great guy as well.

I think he meant my reply not his reply 893scratchchin-thumb.gif Unless Conder created two of those threads poke2.gif

I have bought a few real nice looking Morgans in the old fatty holders 5th generation I think, when they first put the bar codes on the label. I have found coins that I think are undergraded. I really like the feel of the big fatty holders.

What year did NGC leave New Jersey?

It was four years ago this week. Don't miss that snow a bit.
