nine little indians

So !'m in the local 7-11, and the woman in front of me tells the clerk she doesn't want that 'mexican ' penny she got in change,as tosses it in the "need a penny,leave a penny" thiggamajia on the counter. I look and see its a Indian Head cent,and there are two more in the tray as well. I grab them and ask the clerk if there are any in his registar. There were six more. I ask them if they came from a roll and he doesn't know but tells me he'll crack a roll and see. Sadly there were not.I gave him a buck as a tip and got nine indians for a thin dime. Nothing rare or valuable but they are the first I've seen in circulation for a long time.

Wow, that is cool! I've maybe picked a couple of dateless buffalos out of change in the past 25 years, but never an IHC - congratulations!

I once pulled a VF 1902 IHC out of circulation, but that's it as far as IHCs on the cheap.
