Scratches on brand new slabs

I had a coin reholdered due to a heavily scratched slab at the Long Beach show. I brought it in on Thursday and picked it up on Saturday. When I got the coin back, I noticed that there were already many scratches on the brand new slab. Is this due to mis-handling or are new slabs already scratched before coins are encapsulated?

Hi,

 

Sorry that your coin came back with scratches on the holder after being reholdered, if you send it back we will reholder the coin for you free of charge. I can tell you the parts are not pre-scratched though.
