Steel Cents in a Danco Album?

I'm gonn throw this out for opinion. I've got some high-end raw 1943 Steel Cents. Would it harm them to pop them into my Danco album?

I feel over time it will harm them.

Over the long-haul, most albums that tone coins will cause the steelies to turn gray. It can take on an interesting appearance for the high-grade pieces. I stuffed MS65 and 66 steelies in my L cent album sine they're as common as rocks. They add a great look.

my three BU examples have been in my Dansco since 1987, and they still look just fine. Now I suppose if you store your albums in salt water, it might have a negative effect, but since I keep mine on a bookshelf in my office they seem fine.

I put some nice steel cents in a blue album almost 40 years ago, and they look the same as they did then! The coppers have darkened up though...

I have seen a few steel cents develop some nice sky-blue toning after being in paper storage, but generally, they seem resistant to toning.
