Tom- Yes it is a 1717 and it is in an older holder (pre cameo designation) but I am sure it would merit the cameo designation today.

Oldtrader3, is that a proof Morgan? If not, it has a killer strike with ultra-smooth fields and complete dentilation. It also has a beautiful, dusky original patina that I find very attractive.

WOW! Tough date to find with that type of look in the Franklin series. Actually, any Franklin that looks like that is tough, but in a 1963 it is really something.
