Conserving American Silver Eagles

1 post in this topic

I have been buying unc. rolls of silver eagles since 1990, just one roll per year. Last weekend I was looking at them, and it seems as though there were some where a small piece of bubble wrap was placed under the green cap on the tubes which has left white spots on some of the coins at the tops of those rolls. I have since removed all the bubble wrap, but is there something I can do to clean the top coin and remove the white spots? I am not sure if this is PVC contamination since the spots are a white color with no trace of green. Anyhow, it's just annoying to have 19 good coins and one bad one in some of these rolls, especially the 1996! Any help would be appreciated.
