Is there hope?

There may be hope, but it would be difficult for me to say for sure. Photographs can sometimes help when it comes to evaluating a coin, but it is impossible for me to give an accurate evaluation without seeing the coin. It is difficult to tell how much a part of the coin the spots on your Indian Cent have become. It is also difficult to tell what may have caused these spots. Both of those factors are important when it comes to figuring out just how successful we might be in conserving a piece such as yours. Your best option would be to submit the coin to NCS for a full evaluation. Be sure to mention in a note on your submission form your concern over the spots.

Paid members of the Collectors' Society do not need to fill out a separate application form to set up an account with NCS. You will need NCS submission forms.

Members of the American Numismatic Association and the NGC Dealer Network will need to complete and return a separate application form to set up and account with NCS.

To obtain either an application form or submission forms, contact NCS Customer Service at 866-627-2646 or NCShelp@NCScoin.com
