Do you have a macro function on your camera? You really need it to get nice upclose pics in focus. A tripod or copystand helps keeps the pic in focus too. Run down to Lowe's and get some Sylvania Daylight Plus lamps, they are really good at showing the color right. Use at least 2 of them, but be careful, they get hot!! I have to tip the coin just a bit to keep the glare off of the slab. Then edit out all the background around the coin, it just uses up your pixals.Then practice, practice, practice I never could get the color right until I got these bulbs.(And I need more practice too!)
