When NGC reholders a coin is it looked at to make sure it hasn't changed in the holder or do you just reholder it?

What happens when a coin is sent for reholder, will NGC remove the PVC?

 

If an NGC coin is sent in because it has active PVC will NGC remove the PVC free of charge and reholder?

If there was active PVC on the coin, we would convert the order to an appearance review/grade guarantee submission and contact the submitter and send the coin to our sister company NCS and go from there depending upon the individual situation.
