Sandon
Welcome to the NGC chat board. Please post clear, cropped images of each full side of a coin about which you have questions. "IN GOD WE TRUST" isn't "missing" on your 2004-P Peace Medal nickel. It is, in fact, legible despite, based on the current images, having apparently been partly scraped off along with Jefferson's nose after the coin was placed in circulation. Although it is possible that the coin was struck through "grease" or other foreign matter--a common and minor abnormality better classified as a quality control issue rather than a "mint error"--the coin may now be too "beat up" to tell for sure. Unfortunately, there is a great deal of misinformation about coins on the internet. Please read the following recent article by a prominent coin dealer: Jeff Garrett: Fake News and Misinformation in Numismatics | NGC (ngccoin.com). You should not use a general search engine such as "Google" to seek information about coins. Moxie15
that looks like a coin from a casino. They tend to polish and was the nickels that come out of the machines quite heavily. I was on a cruise ship once where they were so polished you could hardly see any devices at all. just shiney and smooth

powermad5000
The amount of surface wear on this nickel precludes there to be any kind of determination that it was produced from a partially grease filled die. Whatever happened to this coin, it also damaged Jefferson's nose as well. I only see some very heavy wear and what I would diagnose as damage to this nickel.
