   Welcome to the NGC chat board.

   Many thousands of crude replicas of the rare 1776 dated "Continental Dollar" were sold in souvenir and gift shops over the years, especially during the 1960s and 70s. We see many of them on these forums. Your piece is clearly one of these replicas, which are of no value, as indicated by its rough, dark surfaces and indistinct lettering. Genuine examples look like this one shown on the NGC Coin Explorer:

   In my opinion, it would be a waste of a substantial amount of money to submit this obvious replica to a grading service.
