powermad5000 Posted yesterday at 03:10 AM Share Posted yesterday at 03:10 AM (edited) Are those metal tweezers/tongs???? If so, please never use them again to handle coins. They will surely leave scratches behind. As long as you have clean hands (washed with soap and plenty of water and properly dried) you can handle coins by their edges without damaging them. If you really want to use something like this to handle your coins, Wizard Coin Supply has a pair of blue plastic coin tongs, or special coin tongs with padded grips. Please purchase those but do not continue to use what is in the photos. Being the discoloration is even on both sides of the coin means it was partially dipped in something, being it a chemical, solvent, mild acid, or something else, only part of the coin was submerged to give it this appearance. Either way, it is just damage. Edited yesterday at 03:14 AM by powermad5000 more information
