I think you can do better. The nickel in the last photos to me looks lighter at the top than at the bottom as if a single light is shining at it on an angle. Try to get the light over the whole coin from above or use a ring light or use two lights, one on either side. You coin should look like this with even lighting.

I'm using a camera and not my phone. But how do you get a light above coin and the camera as well? 

I tried something else.

Maybe I should re take a photo of the cents 1909s and 1909 s vdb once I get better at taking photos
