I cannot help you with identification, but if I may, I should like to politely suggest you hold every coin -- more so possible Ancients -- by the edge with two fingers whether found at a garage sale or garbage dump.

The human skin of a palm secretes perspiration, oils and warmth, all enemies of metals.

ALWAYS HANDLE ALL COINS BY THEIR EDGES!!!!!!!!!!

I am surely no expert on ancients (I own a few and bought them already certified). I was only able to gather that yours is probably legitimate and seems to be of Roman origin. Other than that, I was unable to actually pin down what ruler the coin was struck for or a projected range of date.

Hello and welcome to the forum. Without being able to truly authenticate (it does appear genuine) this coin I can however positively identify it. There are a few different similar reverses for different years. The description and information below match your coin but the pic here is of an earlier year (very similar) coin. The coin you have posted appears to be an ancient hammered Roman Imperial Bronze 1 Dupondius (1/8 Denarius) coin minted in 139 AD during the reign of:

Antoninus Pius (Titus Aelius Hadrianus Antoninus Pius) (138-161 A.D.)
