specifying which side of coin displays on the front of a slab

Can I specify which side of a coin I want to show on the front side of a slab when submitting a coin for grading? If so, how should I convey my preference?

I am about to submit some US classic commemoratives, and for all of these coins I have a preferred side that I would like to show on the front of the slab. I can find examples of both the obverse and reverse of a given classic commem type facing forward in a slab, but I have never investigated more fully to learn if the variations I have observed are due to different standards across the TPGs, or changing standards over time, or simply customer preference.

Hello @3sidedCoin, thanks for reaching out. Great question! The standard way we slab is obverse up but if you would like a coin slabbed reverse up, you may list this preference by noting "HOLDER REVERSE UP" next to the coin on the submission form. Please also submit coins with this request on a separate submission form from any coins you want slabbed normally. Thanks again for reaching out and please let us know if you have any additional questions!
