There is a pinned post in this section titled "coin marketplace guidelines" reading that post and following the guidelines would be a good start.    My advice is to take your "Alot" to a local dealer to sell, most will pay around 3 cents for common circulated wheat cents (cents not pennys this is not the UK).

I agree.  Take your Lincoln cents to a local coin shop.

If your coins are circulated, be prepared to be disappointed with the offer and be ready to take some to the bank for face value.  If you walk in with jars of mixed change, be ready to be sent home with your jars full. Almost every cent after 1958 is coming back home with you.
