I finally put in my first submission and was curious about a few things, is the ncs fee charged separately from the ngc regrade fee or does ngc charge for the total submission fee, I was also curious as what order this process happens, is it regraded and then sent to ncs or sent to ncs and then regraded, I also see the status changed from received to scheduled for grading, what does this mean, I'm new and trying to learn how some of this works in order to make better submission choices in the future, I don't think the coin I submitted was a good choice but it's a practice run, iTia

I am happy to help! The NCS fee is charged separately then the grading fee. It is usually charged after the services are complete. If the coin is already graded or you request NCS for an ungraded coin, then it will go to NCS first and once completed there it will go to the graders. If you do not select NCS then it will go to the graders and if they find a coin(s) on your submission that they feel would benefit from going through NCS then the team will reach out to directly to see if you would like it to go through NCS. If you choose for it to then it will go to NCS and then back to the graders for review. I hope that help!

The coin was already slabbed by ngc, I was charged for grading already but no ncs charge, , I just read that if it's already slabbed and ncs declines then it won't be regraded, unless written regrade regardless of ncs decision, I wish I would of known this, I would of written it on the form
