1945 RPM-19 Jefferson Nickel Variety Plus Attribute

I have a 1945 P/P RPM-19 in an old ANACS holder that has the RPM on the label of this holder.  I looked on the VarietyPlus section in Jefferson Nickels and noticed this particular RPM is not available currently for attribution.  If this coin was submitted in the old ANACS would NGC recognize it and create a new VP attribute number?

Hello @Gileshokie

Thank you for reaching out to us. US 5C varieties / RPMs that are not listed in the VarietyPlus resource online generally will not be attributed. When submitting a coin that had been graded by another company and given an attribution that NGC does not recognize, the coin will lose this attribution when re-graded with NGC.

If you have any other questions, please let us know.

Just curious, why do you want to crossover this to NGC?   The only added value I can see to changing the plastic is if it can be included in a registry set that requires this variety, and while I have not looked since NGC does not recognize this RPM there should not be a slot for it in any sets.   Is there another reason besides value that is motivating you to cross this?

Coinbuf, I basically want this coin in an NGC holder with a new variety attribution on the label.  Since they will not recognize it, nor create a new VP number, it will stay in the old ANACS holder.

I really believe NGC is missing out on a bigger market of coin grading for RPM, DDO, and DDR's on all series by not recognizing these variety types even though they are well documented and established in the market place.
