Asking about a grade a submission receives.

We recently submitted a coin for a customer, and received a grade of "Not Genuine",  when I asked how that was determined, we were ignored.  I now have a very angry customer, fortunately he did not buy the coin from us, but from a local coin club, and needs some documentation from NGC to get his money back.  How do we get NGC to respond?

Thanks

Hello @Odyssey-2

Thank you for reaching out to us. I am very sorry that you did not receive a faster response. A coin will be returned raw and described as "NOT GENUINE" when the piece is either a souvenir replica or a counterfeit. The methods of determining authenticity are part of NGC's proprietary grading processes, so I cannot provide specific details or coin defects that lead to this identification.

I have sent you a copy of the grading report via email.

If you have any other questions, please let us know.
