The date is irrelevant as the coin is so badly damaged that it has no value over the face value of 1c, if you are thinking that this is an error coin that would be incorrect.   It appears to have been subjected to a corrosive acid or buried in ground that is acidic, additionally there are many scrapes and cuts.

Welcome to the forum

Overkill on the photos, a complete photo of each side and possibly one or two closeups is sufficient.

As far as your cent goes, Coinbuf summarized it pretty good. In that condition it is a cull coin worth 1 cent.

Welcome to the NGC chat board. You should post questions of this sort on the "Newbie Coin Collecting Questions" forum, not the "Ask NGC/NCS" forum, as NGC does not offer free opinions on the identification, authenticity, or condition of coins.

The coin appears to be a 1935-D Lincoln cent but as others have stated is so severely worn and damaged as to have no collector value.

My opinion is that the coin is worth one cent or its metal value, that no digging into its date is worth anyone's energy, and that even roll hunting would be more profitable than examining this one.
