1982 D Smalldate 3.10 gr 1 1

Okay so I was going through the coins we found when my grandparents house burnt up.  And I came across this coin it weight is 3.10 grams and has some soot on it from the fire but with that is seems to still be in good shape.  I wanted to know what I should do?

   Please post better photos (cropped and upright), especially of the obverse.  The area beneath the date appears to have been scraped with a tool, and it is unclear whether the coin actually has a "D" mint mark.

Well you do indeed have a small date coin, however, I see no signs of a "D" mintmark.   What I do see is some scrapes and soot that if you squint really hard might seem to look like a mintmark, but is not.

Your additional photos show the same as your original, just a normal everyday 1982 (Philly mint) coin.
