ArtLifs
Hey just wondering what would you call this
Lem E
Not sure what the technical term for this is but, it’s pretty cool. Reverse overlaid on the front. What is on the other side? I think there are a few paper guys on here that can give you better info. You would probably get some better info on the PMG forum. It’s all paper over there. @Fenntucky Mike could probably tell you. https://boards.pmgnotes.com/?_gl=1*fm6dln*_ga*MTc3MjUzMTU0Ni4xNjc2NjI2NjY3*_ga_S9SNF6BY3N*MTY3NjYyNjc1OC4xLjEuMTY3NjYyNjc4Ny4zMS4wLjA. My initial thought is that it's a fake. Look at the ink under magnification, does there appear to be a dot matrix pattern? My initial thought is that it's a fake. the Fennster is right. it would take the whole sheet run through every design element for this to happen. all of the elements on a dollar are not printed at the same time. so you would get the vignette printed then it would go over to the signature and seals part and then you would get the serial number printed looks way too aligned for this.... Popular Post Fenntucky Mike
An offset printing error occurs when a sheet fails to enter the press while running and the printing plate contacts the impression cylinder transferring ink onto it. As sheets pass through following this event the ink is transferred from the cylinder and onto the "back" of the sheet as a mirror image, with the transferred image becoming lighter as more sheets pass through the press until it is gone. I believe most printing facilities produce notes in this sequence, Frirst printing (back), Second printing (Face), Third printing (Overprint) Lem E, Coinbuf, ArtLifs and 1 other
