1989 Quater error 0

Found this in my change. Never seen this error before.

Happens when the die becomes filled with debris or grease and is unable to strike (or fully strike) up some areas of the coin.   Very common and considered a minor error.

That's so much cleaner than usual that I have to think it's fairly precise vandalism. Filled die is a possibility, but I'm leaning to someone ground it off.

You can still see the outlines of the letters, I’m going with a partial grease filled die not that it matters as there is no extra value either way.

I see it! I see the error !!!!  It's a biggie, too !

"Quarter" is misspelled  on this "1989 Quater error."
