Hi,

Somebody gave me this Rennie Faire coin in 1999. I can't figure out if it's pure copper or has lead center or what, it's kind of heavy. Anybody know how these are made and whether there's a market for them?

They are copper.

The market would probably consist of members of the Society of Creative Anachronism or other fair goers who are trying to put together a complete set. They are said to have been struck at the University of St. Hildegard fair to be used as currency.
