Besides the seller holding it in bare hands, would you think this coin is worth $120?

He/she is holding the coin in the proper way by the edges so no problems there.   The color, especially the obv, looks suspect to me so it is not a coin I would be interested in buying; however, I am sure that it is "worth it" to some buyers.
