Hello, I'm hoping someone can answer a couple questions I have. Is this DD or machine doubling? I'm fairly new to collecting and still learning the differences between the two. Either way, is there any value here? Thanks

And still somehow something led this poster, NEW TO THE HOBBY, to believe that THIS is what the hobby is all about. Strange.

Agree with the others. Study this coin and you can learn a lot from it. The mechanical doubling in UNITED is about as textbook as it gets. Compare that to pictures of actual doubled die coins. You will learn with a little practice to quickly differentiate the two in most cases. Some are tricky but this one isn’t at all.
