I bought for quite a bit of money, a coin that is entitled 1702 Dutch Silver Rider Ducatoon. Meerensteyn Shipwreck 1702.  It is totally covered in little seashells. The seller who is a big-time seller of shipwreck coins, said it must be the coin stated because of the weight and size and where it was found.  I want to submit it to NGC but I have no idea what category this belongs in. thank you. or the condition....

Hello GPJ,

I've been in touch with our graders, unfortunately, we would be unable to certify this coin as as the date and type stated as there is not enough detail present.  It would end up being called "Insufficient Detail To ID".

Thank you!

Lisa
