Hi,

Dumb newbie question: I noticed this quarter has a weird "band" (sorry, don't know correct term). It's thin on the South Carolina side and wider on the Plurbius side. Is this a mint error or ...??? Is it of any value or a normal strike variation?

It appears that the dies were slightly mis-aligned, with the rim thus wider at one side than at the other. The error is too slight to carry a premium, but that's a good observation on your part.
