1982 was a transition year.
Both the Large and Small Dates came in copper and copper plated zinc so they can either 2.5g or 3.11g

No Philly mint 1982 cents are rare. Really really impeccably nice 1982 cents ARE rare. And I’m talking nicer than you’ve probably ever seen.
