Help with raw 1800 Large Cent

Hello everyone, I picked up this nice 1800 Large Cent. I believe it is an 1800/1798. I was wondering if a large cent expert could help me identify the Sheldon number?

My biggest concern is I really like the rims, surfaces and lack of large scratches or nicks but, in the right light and at the right tilt, it appears there is a fingerprint in the middle of the obverse. Uggh, my pet peeve. Despite my studying for any hope for something other than a print, I guess I need to call it what it is. Do you think there is anything that can be done to fix it or is it set?

Your coin has the "1st Hair" style, so there are only four die marriages it could be. Two of these are very rare (NC for non-collectible), so that most likely leaves just S-190 or S-191. Try your own skills at attributing here:

Being a collector of Large cents I would not attempt to correct anything on this coin. Accept it as it is. Large cents in general are a very unique series of coins to collect especially if they are Attributed by variety even in detail grades . If this were in my collection I would submit it to NGC and let them tell you for sure and accept the grade they give it but I would not try to spruce it up. My opinion is it is far to nice to mess up especially if I am correct in saying I think ( based on the picture ) it is an NC 6. I am not what you would call an expert but I truly love all the large cent varieties. Congratulations on the nice find regardless of the variety.

It is S-190.  The key identifying feature of NC-6 is the top right berry.  On NC-6 its stem joins the wreath ABOVE the stem of the inner leaf cluster.  On the other three First Hair style varieties it joins the wreath AT the same point as the leaf stem.

S-190

Well it won't let me insert the imags but the links work.  They go to the images in the Goldberg auction of the Dan Holmes collection
